market yesterday and China -WAS reported

Sellers at the opening quoted 1/5 for July, buyers bidding 1/5 9:32 for cash. Business was fixed at 1/5 for cash, 1/5 0/32 June and 1/5 11/32 August, but to a small extent. The market closed with $12.49 Ukely sellers at 1/5 for May. 1/51. June and 1/5 9/32 for July, buyers at 1/32 higher.

Shortly after the announce- ment of the President's silver message, the market turned somewhat reac tionary, remaining unsettled for the balance of the session. Silver stocka were quite reactionary..
Wheat: In spite of unusually large crop damage reports, especially in Spring wheat and an abundance of outside interest, the market is very valnerable to any selling movement and is still weather-market.
Cotton: Early advances in anticipation of the President's silver message were not maintained subsequent to the issuance of the message, but prices rallied slightly towards the close.
Silver: An unknown buyer bought 160 lots. There was rolatively heavy
