The A. O. F. Corp. has received the following report from their New York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Co. Substantial offerings of stock did not reveal the presence of any large scale buying. There was some support this afternoon, but we think it is still beat to await developments. Wheat: Lack of rain in the North-West increases hallish enthusiasm, though there is a forecast of possible light showers in the North-West. The market is entirely a weather-market and is vulnerable to weather changes.

Cotton: Prices responded fully to higher cables and on opening re- ports of precipitation in the greater part of the Central Belt, where the rains are more than ample. The market closed at the day's high levels on new speculative buying.

Silver. Futures displayed impressive firmness. Late in the day, the market was encouraged by Washington press news intimating that the President decision on silver legislation might be favourable to a compromise. Montgomery, Ohio Oil bas declared a dividend of tifteen cents. Ward, April sales were up 33.3 per cent. Business Done: 2,380,000 ̊aharek.
