There was a similar lack of cohe- sion in the Albion back division, for though Mercer and Gormley occasionally cut out some neat openings, the bandling was poor,

Withhold Track Field Views The Japanese representatives could not speak authoritatively on the chances of the Japanese track and field team for the Olympic championships but swimming where they are actively connected, they declared that Japan is a most sure of capturing the highest number of points. They based their contention on the fact that the Japanese awimmers were among the twenty five best swim- mers of the world in 1933 and that they have still improved their 1933 records in the final elfminations held in Japan before they sailed for Muntia. (By "Linesman")

The" football season which has just ended was chicây notably for three outstanding points. (1) a higher standard of play amongst the non-Chinese teams, (2) new winners of the Senior Shield and First Division championship, and (3) the number of players that were sent off for angentlemanly conduct.

The South Wales Borderers First XI are to be congratulated on having won the First Division League championship, the Senior Shield and the International Cup (playing as Wales), which is, I think, an unparalleled feat in the history of Hong Kong Football.

The defence was a brilliant one, very solid and reliable, with. Podmore. Mullane and Smith outstanding.
