"Courage", featuring Belle Ben- net, opened, its run at the Al- hambra Theatre yesterday. and while the picture cannot in any way be called a super-production, { it must be said that it is good. clean entertainment.
The story tells of Miss Bennet as a happy-go-lucky spendthrift mỏ- 'ther who stops' at nothing in order that she might bring her children up among the wealthy members of society in order that they might attain that culture, which, alast she herself does" not possess.
In order that they might move about in the "select circle" and yet not be outdone in the matter of dresses, she spends money that she can il-afford and as a result bills pile up and she is driven to borrow to get herself out of a somewhat embarrassing position.
the From this point onwards. picture takes what might be de- scribed as an amazing turn, and moves at a fast rate which is maintained up till the end of the
reel.
