The many friends of Mrs T. W. Carr will regret to hear that she passed away suddenly at her re- sidence at No. 2 Cox's Path, last night.

CANTON RIVER FLOTILLA

Addition Of Two Torpedo Boats

(From Our Special Correspondent)

Canton, April 30. The Canton Elver Flotilla will bé added to with two electricaly driven torpedo boats which are being constructed in a foreign 'dockyard.

Officers and ratings are being trained at the Whampoa Naval Academy to man these ships.

These torpedo boats will be used: to patrol coastal ports such as Swatow, Swabue, Hothow and Pak- hot.
