Inspector General's Appeal For More Recruits
Mr. B. L. King, the Officer Commanding the Hong Kong Palice Reserve, and the secretary of the Chins Provident Loan and Mortgage Company, who is going Home on leave shortly, was the guest of honour at a tex party given by the Indian Company at the Lane Crawford's 'Restaurant yesterday.

A glowing tribute to the splendid work done by Mr. King in connection with the Police, was paid by both the Hon. Mr. E. D. C. Wolte, Inspector General of Police and Mr. Feroze All, officer in charge of the Indian Company.
Mr. Feroze All presided and there was a large gathering present hicluding, the Hon. Mr. E. D. C. Wolfe, the Hon. Dr. S. W. T'so, Mr. T. H. King, Mr. Cyril Champkin, Mr. Tim Murphy, Mr. L. H. C Calthrop, Mr. T. Hynes, Mr. B. Randall, Mr. R. J. Hunt, Mr. Tse Tsun On and. Mr. L. Cole.

Gentlemen: The object of this gathering this after- noon is to bid farewell to Mr. King, our Deputy Superintendent, who is about to proceed home on leave, Happily his absence will be only temporary, but it was felt by the members of the Indian Company of the Police Reserve, that "we could not allow Mr. King to leave us without first having the op- portunity of expressing to him our grateful thanks and appreciation for his magnificent and untiring labours on behalf of the Indian Company.

Fine Record Of Work In Hong Kong
After an association extending over nine years with the European Y.M.C.A. Mr. J. H. Hunt, O.B.E, de- parts from the Colony to-day and those who have 'known him will look back with regret "upon the loss that his departure means to the "Y",
Mr. Hunt arrived in the Colony' after 12 years association with Y.M.C.A. work. During the War he served with the " at, the Front, when he was appointed or- ganising Secretary for the First Army Area. For this services he
was awarded the O.BE., and was twice mentioned In despatches.
On his arrival in Hongkong, Mr. Hunt became actively interested in church and social welfare work In addition to his duties at the YMCA. In 1928, for instance, he was general secretary in charge of the arrangements "for the Grand Military Tattoo in Hongkong."
