The market for Silver in London on Saturday last was extremely quiet. business done being very small. Rates were unchanged at 20 3/16 and 20 5/18 for Ready and Forward respectively. In New York the rate was 46.48 with a dull market but on the steady side.

With an important week-end conference scheduled between the President and Members of Congress, probably to outline the legislative programme for the remainder of the session, the financial community took a waiting attitude.
