A MONSTER

DEMONSTRATION

Arranged By Civil Servants

Canton, April 11. Bombing 'planes of the Canton Air Force carried out target practice near Yellow Flower Hill this morning and registered several direct hits by swooping down on their objectives.

Six Corsair bombers took part in the raid, and light bombs were used. As the seroplanes reached their target, they flew over it in a circle to deter mine the mark. Then one after an- other the 'planes dived down and released their bombs. To make the manoeuvers like a real air raid, the aviators turned on the machine guns as they swooped low over the target.

It is the policy of the Air Force to make bombing practice as accurate as possible, because in actual warfare a bomber has to dodga gun-fire from the ground and machine gun bullets from pursuit 'planes. Good marksmanship will enable the pilot to drop the bombs on the right places.
