The Rejuvenation Of
"David Jack
HULME'S MATCH WINNER
Arsenni
Aston Villa
3 2
The important lesson of this match at Highbury, in which Ar-| senal avenged their Cup defeat of the previous week, is that it is idle to talk or old stars ke Jack, James and Hulme being on the wane.
The presence of this famous prio made a world of difference to Ar- senal's attack, Even Bastin was not missed, and if the line had been led by a first-class centre- forward the Villa would have been heavily beaten.
In justice to Cox, the young re- serve, who was given the leader- ship in preference to Dunne, I hasten to add that he revealed great promise. His speed and. courage. worried the Vila backs Over-anxiety and lack of experi- ence alone caused him to miss scoring chances.
