20 Utilitiea 40 "Bonda Commodity Index Asia Landa, Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Co. There has been no farther news of the labour situation. However, the action of the market is quite re asauring and iný favourable week-end news might precipitate & brisk rally.
Wheat: Prices averaged somewhat higher as a result of the strong ap-tarn in stocks. However, there was only a moderate trade, all up-tarn bringing increased pressure. Some buying was based on unfavourable moisture reports from a wide area.
Cotton. The market met with heavy selling, chiefly from European and Bombay sources. Prices advanced later, prompted by improved labour conditions and the strength of other markets.
Silver: Prices were higher, reflecting the steadiness in London and Shanghai. The reported purchase of $10,000,000 worth of silver for mor etary use was a contributing influence.
Business Done: 680,000 sharer.
