We think that the show of late strength was due to the belief that the Stock Exchange Regulation Bill would be substantially modified. In any event, there seems to be a slight- ly better feeling.

Wheat: Early local pressure, anticipating liquidation, caused an over-sold market. There was a fair rally later on shirt covering.

Cotton: There was a better demand from the Trade and short opera- tors found offerings limited. Progress in the Bankhead Bill is being made. steadily.

Silver: Trade was mixed, with the majority of operators apparently satisfied to await further developments. Business Done: 1,700,000 shares.
