Indians Win Junior Shield

FOR FIFTH TIME IN HISTORY OF CLUB

Pereira's Excellent Bowling

Against C.S.C.C.

By defeating the Civil Service C.C. on Saturday, the Indian Recreation Club junior eleven, under the Captaincy of K. Nazarin, have recaptured the shield they lost last year to Craigengower. They have obtained 28 points out of a possible 33, and a fitting climax to their achievement was the dismissal of Civil Service for the record low total of 18 runs.

The Indians senior eleven were also in great form, beat- ing the Civil Service by 66 runs. A feature of this match was the remarkable bowling of F. D. Pereira, the Colony fast howler, who captured 7 wickets for 12 runs.

In the other Senior game, the University, last year's champions, were again heaten, this time falling victims to the Army by four wickets.

The H.K.C.C. junior eleven, who at one time were serious contenders for the shield, defeated a depleted Navy side by 39 runs.

Once you have experienced the tonic effect of a large White Horse Whisky, with cold soda, you will realise, as so many others do, the use- fulness of this prescription against weariness and loss of appetite.

The restorative powers of White Horse at the end of a tiring day and its value as an aid to

digestion are among the chief virtues of this consistently excellent old whisky.
