YESTERDAY'S RACE. MEETING HELD IN POURING RAIN

Tiny Star Wins Subs' Classic

(BY MORNING DEW")

Liberty Bay won the Champions for the Danbar stable yesterday and once again proved conclusively that he is the best China pony in the Colony, Trem, bridge put up a gallant but unavailing race and never at any moment looked as though he was going to catch up with Liberty Bay, who led all the way home. Gleneagles was the only other starter, but he finished a poor third.

Tiny Star won the Sports Club Cup from a very classy field which included Bold Marshall and Classic Hall. Cavalcade abstained from this race,. but started later in the afternoon where he won.

?

The candidates of Messrs. Kong Bros' stable, Electric Star, and New Star, " and both won.

Mr. D. S. Li accounted for both legs" in the Daily Doubles paid out the smallest dividend in four days, successful punters getting only $22.70′ for their selections.

The Champion sweeps paid $46,389.70 for first prize. The winning numbers will be found in another column.
