AUSTRALIA'S CRUISERS

While Prince George left Eng- land yesterday in the 20,000-ton liner Carnarvon Castle on the first of his two Empire tours, he ex- pects to return from the second in an Australian cruiser of half the tonnage but nearly twice the speed.

The choice will lie between the Australia and the Canberra. They were built in England in 1927, and are replicas of the County class.

Said to be rather lively in a seaway, they are spacious ships, capable of 32 knots.
