"Duck's Boup" the Paramount Alm which commences its run to- day at the King's theatre is the latest Marx Brothers comedy. The title has nothing whatever to do with the alm, in fact it is no in- dication of the contents of the picture. Insanity being the chief key-note. There is no plot but Just a good deal of nonsense which will.evoke roars of laughter as it is intended it should: A col- losal mansion is built as a fitting dwelling for. Groucho who is cast as the dictator of Freedonia. The *settings in this film are most ela- borate. Raquel Torres plays the leading feminine lead. Others in

the cast:-

Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, Ear- po Marx, Zeppo Marx, Raquel Tor- res, Louis Calhern, Margaret Du- mont, Verna Hillie, Leonid Kinsky, Edmund Breese and Edwin Max- well. This is a Paramount pic- ture, directed by Leo McCarey.

CHAPLIN GETS

BUSY

Preparations are at last under way for Charlie Chaplin's new film. The Chaplin studios which have remained as quiet as the interior as a pyramid for over three years are now a hive of industry... Car- penters are now piling up "newly purchased lumber, electricians are swarming round the framework of the old fashioned open-air stage covered with canvas, the so many monkeys. The "sweat room" -an ante-chamber where story writers, director, and stars sit for hours discussing sequences, has taken OIL & new coat of fresh paint. The leading lady's dressing room, once the property of Edna Purviance has been completely redecorated in stiver 'and old rose, just as a surprise for Paulette Goddard--who is to be Chaplin's screen heroine, as well as his real life sweetheart. There are no de- tailed particulars' about the story yet avaliable, but. Chaplin says that the new picture will be ready.
