Suver prices dropped 1/8 over the week-end for both deliveries, the quotations being 19 11/18 for Ready and 194 for Forward, Silver advices reported America as having sold. The market was quiet. In America the rate was higher at 44 3/4 for Spot. The market was quiet.

Commodity Index skin Landa, Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondente, E. A. Fierce & Co. The market at the opening stag géred under the impact of the accumulation of overnight selling, however, there was no disorder in the rank and file of stocks and the brunt of the selling fell en aviation stocks, but. with the exception of United Air, all others rallied before the close."
Wheat: There was a weak opening under general selling, with poor support as a result of the proposed Government regulation and fear of like measures being applied to the commodity exchanges. The market rallied near the close on commission-house buying.
Cotton There was a broad general demand, but Bouthern selling was more noticeable. Prices closed firm on the probability of some form of production control, while a large sale of goods, inducing more price- Aixing aided the market.
Silver: The market opened quiet and easier and then made full re- coveries from the low levels. The steadiness of the Sterling exchange whe off-set by lower London advices. "Business Done: 2,190,000 shares.
