OBITUARY
Mr. Walter Wellman
New York, February 2.. The death occurred yesterday of alter Wellman, who in October 1910 attempted the first trans-At- lanic fight in e balloon, sarting from Atlantic City with six com. panions.
The balloon was forced down in the sea after having travelled 1:000 miles, the aeronauts being rescued by a passing steamer-Reuter.
