which scream ambulance down the streets of any big city: In "Emergency Call" coming to the Central Theatre to-morrow with Bill Boyd, William Gargan, Wynne Gibson. George E. Stone and Betty Furness, the actionful background of an interne's life is expanded in a thrilling manner.
With automobile accidents con- stantly increasing, the whine of the ambulance siren has become a familiar sound. The swaying car, the driving maniac crouched behind the wheel and the white- clad figure perched beside him are common figures. The manner in which these reckless Samaritans escape the death which rides with them on every trip; the stirring adventures they encounter at the end of their "wild jaunts; the sinister forces they are called upon to combat; their death- defying efforts to save victims' 1lves-all are vividly revealed in dramatic action in "Emergency Call"
The moviation of the pictures centers on the efforts of Bill Boyd. as a surgeon, and William Gargan, as a driver, to combat racketeers end ambulance chasers. Not only do they have to fight illness and death, but they are plunged into desperate combat with
these gangsters who stop at nothing to nulet the halt, sick and injured.
