China Beat Portugal the semi-final of the Lat Wan Cup

in Sunday Herald Charity Cup

The gates were closed on three entrances on the Club ground yesterday when Portugal met China in the International Char- ity match, the result being a win- for China by five goals to two.

A great final is expected be- tween Wales and China.

The game was keenly contested general throughout and on the run of the play, China fully de- serve the margin between the teams when the final whistle sounded. K.C.C. batted first and gof 209 for 4, Ernie Fincher getting 75 andɑ C. J. Stapleton 51 while A. B. Large took 4 wickets for 67 runs.
