London, Nov. 22. Major J. H. Pelly has been selected for command of the 2nd Battalion, The Worcestershire Regiment, in succession to Lieutenant-Colonel B. C. 8. Clarke, D.S.O., whose tenure expires to-day.
Major Pally is now with the 2nd Battalion, which joined the Shanghai garrison from Malta at the end of October. In 1906 he was posted to the since disbanded 3rd Battalion at Aldershot, going on to the 4th in India. During most of the War he was with the Gold Coast Regiment. and served in various parts of Africa, His majority dates from. 1926, and he' obtains command at the age of 47.
