THE HONG KONG 'ART CLUB
Very little to report this time. It seems to have been an unex- citing week, or is it that I've had an attack of laziness? But there is one thing I must write about, and, that is the Hongkong Art Club's Erhibition at the Gloucester Building. What an astonishing number of talented people there are in the Colony! And why do they so hide their lights under a bushel that one only hears about them once in.

So many good alms this past week that I have been ont every single night. Did you see "Trick for Trick" at the Kings, with that wonderful magician Mr. Henry? Mysteriously appearing pigeons, mysteriously disappear-> ing ladies, people being sawn in to three pieces-all the appúr tenances of magic were there; and the sim that followed was almost as mystifying.
