(Specta) Air-Mail Service)...

London, Nov. 1. The Prince of Wales is taking a keen and practical interest in the art-in-industry exhibition which is being organised under the Joint auspices

Royal of the Academy and the Royal Society of Arts.

He will be present at a dinner for the formal launching of the venture, which takes place at the Merchant Taylors' Hall next Tues- day evening.

The Prince, will speak, and his audience will include a distinguish ed representative company:

KING ALFONSO IN AUSTRIA

King Alfonso has recently, I am informed, had the experience of being refused permission to cross the Austrian frontier.

On being asked at the frontier post, at Halbthurn, for his pass port, he replied: "I am a fugitive and do not possess one.".

Later he said he had left it be hind.

ROYAL PASSPORTS

A close personal friend of the "King's to whom I spoke yesterday told me that it was a fact that he did not possess one. As a dé jure sovereign there was no body competent to issue one to him.

On all previous occasions the revelation of his identity by an equerry or companion has been sufficient to secure his passage. The "passport" left behind at Kittsee was probably an" identity card issued by the French Govern ment for the King has lived at Fontainebleau ever since the Re- volution.
