Azia Lands, Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Co. The main interest today was the action of the silver market. It is rumoured that the President is giving serious consideration to a proposal which would call for the extensive use. of silver as a basis of currency. It seems this will be the next step along inflationary lines.
Cotton: Scattered selling caused a lower opening. Outside demand broadened, prices responding. There was a fair volume of hedge selling near the close.
Silver: Unsettled at the opening but later irmed on rumours of the extensive use of silver as a basis of currency. Business Done: 470,000 shares.
