Asia Lands, Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Co. Traders regarded the feeling of quiet strength today quite favourably, while the events of the week lend additional evidence to the theory that the market has finally succcoded in establishing a'sound basis.

,

Wheat: The buying of cash wheat by the Government has encourage local buying on a thin market. The Winnipeg market followed sluggishly. Cotton: The market was steady for most of the day under a fair Trade demand. Hedge selling was light, which factor some believe to be due to producers taking advantage of the Government loans.

Silver: Prices fluctuated irregularly over narrow limits. Trading was dull and featureless, outside interest being small.
