Here is a green vegetable salad. which can be molded and set in the refrigerator ths day before serving. It is an ideal dish, for the main course of a bridge lun- cheon.

1 cup cut, cooked was beans

1 cup Anely chopped cabbage..

cup grated raw carrota ma

2 pimienta peppers, cut in fancy

2 eggs. hard cooked and sliced

1 teaspoons salt

1 tablespoon plain gelatin

cup sugar (optional)

cup vinegar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

cup cold water.

Soak the gelatin in one-fourth. cup of cold water for five minutes, then dissolve in one cup of bolling water. Add sugar, vinegar, lemon juice and galt and strain. Chill Until quite syrupy, then add the balance of the ingredients, with the exception of the hard cooked eggs. Arrange the sliced eggs over the bottom of a mold and pour the salad mixture over them. Set aside to chServe on lettuce leaves, with crab meat and rolled tcastles.

This could be served with cold lamb for a Supper. It is nutri- tous, and with any left over cold meat is suficient for a meal.
