COLONY'S RECORD ·

Four Other Records Broken

the Three acquatic sports meeting were held over week-end and some remarkable performances were recorded. Five records were broken altogether but all other feats were somewhat dwarfed by that of Mrs. M. J. McMahon who established a Colony's record for the 50 Yards Free Style Race at the V.R.C. when she clocked 31 secs. for the dis- tance.

At the S.C.A.A. meeting Kwok Chun Hang and Míns Yeong Sau King were much in the limelight. They won the Victor Ludorum and Victorix Ludorum respectively, but whereas Miss Yeung met with hardly any opposition, Kwok had a hard fight and beat Chan Ki Chung by only two points. These three swimmers also lowered one record each.

"Let Japan," they say, but come to ∙us as an equal, not as a bully, and we, shall be more prepared to en- ter into economic and political allation with her than with any other nation."

There begins to a counterpart in Japan to this feeling-in the very Gov- military, where, it counts. ernor-General Ugaki, of Korea, I understand, is taking the lead in it, with the heart-felt backing of the Osaka group.
