The President of the Nivas at the meeting of the Head Committee (hot to be confused with the Com- mittee of Daily Management) hold" $23.10 on the 17th is reported not to havė minced matters in his resume on $74 the present situation. The top of the Trading range established during the past two weeks was near the year's high for indlus trials. The market appears to be in a position whereby it could again push through on the up-side on any stimulating news. "It would not be surprising if an upward movements got under way neat week.
Wheat: Trading has been narrow. September liquidation caused easier markets.
Cotton: Hedge operations were more noticeable but offerings were well absorbed by the Trade. Speculation was light. Shower conditions prevail over, the major part of the belt.
Silver: Very quiet. There have been continued investment straddles There is a holiday in all markets on Saturday and Monday, September 2nd
