Signs Death Warrant In Suspicious Case

MURDER SUSPECTED

Manila August 32-The prosecution of a Bureau of Health physician was believed likely yesterday following the discovery that a woman, whom he cer tified as having died of tuberculosis, was the victim of murder. The mur der was discovered yesterday when the medico-legal division of the Uni- versity of the Philippines after an nutopsy, found out the woman died of severe shock as a result of a fracture. of the right thigh bone.

Two actions were reported to be if progress against the physician. One was a criminal investigation and the other was an administrative investiga tion as the bureau of health has been notified about the case.

The woman was Joann D. Dulatre, 32, unmarried and residing, with her brother, Honorio D. Dulatre, who has confessed to the killing, at 1603 F. B. Harrison. A criminal complaint for murder has been filed with the provin- cial fiscal of Rizal by the constabulary intelligence division.

Jauna died last Friday at the res idence of her brother. After death, a bureau of health physician was sum- moned and signed a death certificate showing that she died of tuberculosis. The body was embalmed and was ready for burial when Lieutenant Alfred E. Fawcett, of the constabulary intel- ligence division, was tipped off over the telephone that the woman had been murdered.

The interment was suspended and the body was removed to the city morgue when an autopsy was ́per-, formed. Following the autopsy, Lieutenant Fawcett was informed that the woman did not dis a natural death but death came as a result of a "severe traumatic shock induced by a fracture of the bone of the right thigh.”

Honorio D. Dulatre, the brother, was held at constabulary headquarters for questioning. He readily confessed. to Lieutenant Fawcett that he hit his, sister near the right knee Friday after he had caught her "doing something bad!
