Kowloon Cricket Club's second open-air concert this season, held on the cricket field on Saturday atom Burgku placed how Lenjoyable than that of a month "ago. As to programmes, there was not much in it—some might like the first, others the second "more better." But, fast Saturday was a really perfect night, stars over head, and hardly a breath of wind, At the other concert about month: ago, those who attended will re- member that a shower chose to come down just when the best turm | 4-Comedy Song "Tiddle-iddle om was half-way through. Also lasti pom Saturday the old method of setting out chairs and tables and having boys serving refreshments the what time was resumed. The grounds wero illuminated with coloured lights and a very pretty" stage, hedged in with ferns and flowers, had been arranged.

Honours of the concert must go to the comedians Messrs. P. H. Segon, V. C. Labrum and C. S. Trowt Wearied "*"* tifans and amazons," pleasantly tired after their swim, or games, on Saturday afternoon, and their dinner, are not always the easiest people to amuse, and, frankly, high-brow" items are particularly hard to get across if there are too many of them. Mr. PH Segon's sprightly." Some- thing about a Soldier,” went really. well and he has the true comedian touch. Just one suggestion, Most British audiences, are astonishingly hard to get to join in a chorus, unless you give some old, old favourite like John Peel. And if they hag back, perhaps it's as well not to be too insistent. It is not that they don't enjoy the song, but a mixture of shyness and laziness atanda in the way of a proper re- sponse to chorus please. Mr. Labrum's song's went extra- ordinarily well and the encore to

Gorgonzola was a real model-Song" She is Far from the witty, with several local hits, 'and then, all too soon, it was over. Singers, everyone is glad to sec, are realising that they are on a good thing in Percy French's Irish songs. Mr. C. S. Trowt deserves real thanks for reviving Slattery's THEFT OF A LETTER BOX Mounted Fut," and for the fme way he sang it every word clear to the back row of the audience. We, should like to hear him give the ons about the Irish train and
