Asia Lande, "Limited, has received the following report from their New York e respondents, E. A Pierco & Co. We thinks substantial amoun of profit-taking is under way in the so-called "alcohol" stocks and believe that such profit-taking is entirely logical. We also believe that the whole market is somewhere near the top, at least for the time being, but the market is so broad it can have cross currents and contr ary movements in individual issues for some time to come. Wheat- There was a sharp resotion under heavy realising. Support developed later, with large trading on Canadian reports being sensationally bullish London news was encouraging. Secretary Wallace has announced his intention of affecting acreage curtailment in the coming season. Cotton: The market is narrow, though new highs have been established with purchases by foreign and domestic spinners of new speculative accounta The technical position is good with the strength of Sterling the absence of material rainfall influential factors. Silver: Profit-taking caused a decline following the opening. Later good commission house demand developed, carrying prices upward for the balance of the day. Foreign and Bank selling yas absorbed on the advance. Business Done: 6,590,000 shares.
