H.E. Lieut. Col. Bernardes de Miranda, Governor of Macdo, who at present is in Lisbon for the Imperial Con- ference, has been interviewed by representatives of the leading newspaper at, Home, and the Diario de Noticias an important Lisbon daily contained an interesting report about H.E. which owing to the importance of statements made we are going to summarize below.
