KOWLOON DISPENSARIES

MESSRS. A. S. WATSON'S REPLY AND SOME K.R.A. CORRESPONDENCE

DEAR SIR.

In reference to the article your Special Correspondent ap- pearing in the Kowloon Daily Supplement of your issue of the 4th instant under the caption A big, need at Kowloon. Better service of Dispensaries.".

"Extra Special Service.

A special extra servico is main tained at the Hong Kong Dispen sary on Saturdays from 1 pm. to 8 p.m.; on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 10 am to 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. for the purpose of filling prescriptions. In case of urgency we do not think it would take a person more than half an hour to go from Kowloon to the Hong Kong Dispensary, have his prescriptions filled and return to Kowloon.

In this connection it might be of interest and information to, the residents of Kowloon to read letters that were addressed some time ago by us to the Kowloon Residents Association on the subject of dis- pensary service in Kowloon. Copies of these letters are sent herewith, and we consider they still consti. tute a sufficient reply to the cri- ticiens land suggestions advanced by your Special Correspondent. We would add that the same service to the public of Kowloon is still maintained by the Manager of our Kowloon Dispensary. Indeed, it is exceptional for a night to pass, or a Sunday or Public Holiday, In case of special urgeny, the without the Manager being called prescription could be telephoned, to go and open the Kowloon Disand the medicines would be ready

pensary to dispense, not one, but occasionally, several new and/or urgent prescriptions. Further, we confidently leave this matter to the members of the medical profession whom we know are quite satisfied with the service given; and should they or any one of them make any suggestion or recommendation it would receive our immediate at tention. Also, this Company is always willing to receive and wel come suggestions from its tomers. Yours faithfully, A.S. WATSON & CO., LIMITED.
