When her honeymoon was scarce
over, Lady Rhondda had struck setting fire to letter boxes in her out as a militant suffragist, and was father's own constituency. Later, Lord Rhondda tried the experiment of making his daughter his confiden- tial secretary and right-hand "man," a brilliantly successful experiment. Floral" "Bachelor's Button."
A most appropriate nickname has been given to a tiny flower which is new to this country, and which was shown for the first time to-day at a Royal Horticultural Society die play. It bears a close resemblance to the hard yellow centre of the not even the claims of that humble ordinary daisy but otherwise has plant to beauty, because it throws out not a single petal. The me it has been given is "Bachelor's Button," the reason for that being the complete absence of petals with which a young man could test his luck by the old method of "She loves me, she lovos me hot!" In horticultural language its correct name is Cotula, by which it is known on the South African veldt, its true home.

Marshal Chen Chi Tang's recent nroposal for the re-introduction of the study of Chinese clamies in schools may have been prompted by the realisation of the fact that the younger Chinese generation are no longer paying much attention to scholastic attainments.
