Shanghai, June 27.
According to reports received this morn- ing the Yangtsze level at Wanhsien, Sha- shih and Kiukiang registered a slight fall between one and seven inches, while the level at Hankow, Anking and Nanking re- mains the same as yesterday.
There were heavy rains this morning in the lower river districts including Nanking and Chowhsianhsien.

NANKING, June 27. MR. Wang Ching Wei denied,
to-day, that the Nanking Government through envoys in Hongkong had approached Chen Min Shu with a view to getting Chen's consent to resume the Chairmanship of the Kwangtung Government. He said the mission of two envoys to Hongkong consist- ing of the Nanking Mayor, Shih Ying, and Huang Shaoh Siung was merely to explain the political situation to the South-West Lead-
