Sir Samuel Hoare, Secretary of State for India, made an im portant statement on British and Indian trade relations under the proposed new Constitution at the annual Bombay Dinner, held at the Hotel Victoria. Dear Sir,It is good to see that the Colony has so many up-to-date, concrete bathing pavilions, along the Quarry Bay beach. They are run by private clubs, and large number of local citizens, mostly Chiness, are not slow in availing themselves of the facilities afforded

at these pavilions.

At the average bathing pavilion, one can enjoy swimming, sampan. rowing or a game of water-polo, But people who aró non-swimmers seem particularly keen go out row-
