IT is reported in American circles that a virtual agreement for the stabilization of the dollar at an approximate pound rate of $4.05 has already been reáchad.

It is ludicated in authoritative quarters that the European proposals for the stabilisation of currencies is unsatisfactory to the U.S. Government,

The American delegation have submitted proposals, to the Econgiale Commission of the World Economic Conference including a ten per cent, reduction on import duties and a modification of import restrictions.

The American delegation have also proposed that the present fariff truce be extended a sufficient period after the World Economic Conference to afford a stable basis for working out constructive measures ler international trade adjustment.
