EXPERIENCES OF AN AIR ORIENT PASSENGER
The following interesting articles is a translation of the diary of French cleric, Bishop P. Chairs at Hanoi, who travelled by Air Maji from Marseilles to Saigon. In the light of the proposed Sino- German line from Berlin, við Moscow, to Shanghaj, it is interesting -to note the large number of important towns passed by the French route, whereas by the Berlin-Shanghal route after Moscow prac tically no towns of any great size are passed.
It seems obvious that in order to make an air route a commer- clal succiós far greater possibilities are to be obtained by keeping on the old trade routes, than striking a new trail over undeveloped country. On the South route (1,8., Air Orlent) one can imagine mails being dropped by parachute to important towns almost every hour.

The Rotary Club in Hong Kong seem to have a knack of getting all the notable personages who pass through the Colony from time to time, to attend, and usually to spenk at their Club luncheons and when, in a few years' time; the list of visitors to the Rotary Club comes to be compiled, the refusal of G.BS, will have an appearance of ungracious ill-humour.
