GEN. CHANG TSZ KIANG ON. BOXING AND BIG SWORDS

A big crowd gathered in the Cainese Y.M.C.A. at 2 pm. yester

when the noted Chinese Chris tian General Chang Thz Kiong, president of the National Boxing Institute of Nanking, gave a very amusing speech on the tradition and art of Chinese boxing. He said that for general exercise and self defence, there is nothing bet ter than Chinese boxing, and it has proved so successful that the poorly equipped soldiers on the Great Wall front have won battles by using the big swords.

JAPANESE PAINTINGS

EXHIBITION AT KOMOR

AND KOMOR'S

Messrs. Komor and Komor are now holding their Spring exhibition of Japanese water colours, and it should not be missed.

The exhibition is possibly a little smaller than formerly but the quality of the pictures is higher,

Three artists are well represent- ed, Teranchi, Yoshida and Bansoa, and all three have given us of their best.

To residents of Hong Kong those bi-annual exhibitions of modern Japanese art arranged by Romor's are looked forward to tremendong

For as little as $20 one can become the happy possessor of a picture which will become more ively in your eyes every time you see it, for oven $3.00 you can have a small picture which will give you continual pleasure.
