DEATH OF MRS, R. SHANNON
By the death, which occurred yesterday at the Kowloon Hospital of Mrs. Shannon, wife of Inspector I. Shannon, the social side of the focal Police Force has lost one of its most energetic workers.
Mrs. Shannon passed away fol- lowing an operation and the new came as a great shock to her many friends. She had been prominent ly identified with several charitable cieties and had been an indefa: tigable worker for the M.CL.
Mrs. Shannon leaves behind three children to mourn her loss and to them, as well as to the bereaved husband, Inspector Shannon, the utmost sympathy of her large circle of friends is extended.
The funeral takes place this after-
noon.
