INTERESTING ADDRESS BY DR. R. W. BROCK

The History of Hong Kong recorded in the Rocks, was the title of an address given at yesterday's Rotary Club meeting by Dr. R. W, Brock, the distinguished geologist, who was awarded an honorary degree at the University's coming of age

Dr. Brock dealt however with the principles of geology, and recounted with dry humour the controversy between his qwn branch of science, and that of phisicists, in which the former won hands down, getting their claim to the age of the earth recognis ed at over a billion years.

Speaking of Universities, Dr. Brook was emphatically of opinion that a student should study, and graduate, at a univer tity of the country where he expects to make his career.
