The vital necessity of planaing continuous advertising and sell- ing efforts, as an essential tonic for the restoration of trade, was stressed by Mr. F. O. Millington" at the dinner given by Milling- ton, Ltd., on Saturday evening at the Peninsula Hotel.,

The guests, about one hundred in number, well represented the trading community of the Colony and were for the most part the. men who handle the advertising of their firms. An opportunity was given for the guests to express their own feelings on the subject under discussion and some interesting points of view 'were rever:led,, Mr. E. J. Ainslie representing Lane, Crawford Ltd. stressed the point that every town has its own particular advertising problems, Mr. Ma Man Fai of the Sincere Company Ltd. painted out the great importance of a closer co-operation between the coast ports and Mr. Vydia of Messrs. Amritmal Ojha spoke of the need of co-operation between the various nationalities represented by the business community of the Colony.
