London, Feb. 29.--The Manches- ter Guardian Commercial reports that underwriters at Lloyd's and the companies conducting marine insurance business have notified clients and agencies that the "Free of capture and seizure" clansa will be reinstated in contracts and open policies in about ten days' time, so far as shipments to or from China, Japan, Manchukuo, or Formosa are concerned. Thereafter. consign- ments will be covered at current market rates prevailing in London and Liverpool. So far no definite rates for this contingency have leon named, and in all probability nothing definite, will be known till | SANDAKAN near the expiry of the ten days notice. Meanwhile there is every likelihood that the movement of cargo will be curtailed, and thus there will be little, if any, incentive to put rates of premium up. It is even probable that the Conference fines of steamers trading to and from the Far East will cut down their sailings until the present position has cleared. There have, so far, been no requests for rates of premium on full cargoes by tramp Tassels of any description.
