An impressive ceremony was staged in the Great Hall of the University. The gorgeous robos lent for the afternoon gave an air of antiquity of the setting and despite the crackers that signalled the joy of the undergraduates ons could imagine oneself in one of the Halls of Oxford. Shortly before the congregation opened Lady Peel arrived, accompanied by H.E.'s A.D.C. At 5 p.m. the following procession moved slowly up the hall and the members were accomme dated upon the stage.
The band of the 1st Battalion the South Wales Borderers played an excellent selection of music before the ceremonial commenced, by kind permission of Lieut.-Colonel G. T. Raikes, D.8.0., and Officers.
