In the next two races however, favourites came in and then Mr. Needs upset calculations when be brought home King Salmon to win the "A" Class suba event. Hetman had little difcuity (in the absence of Sadko) in winning the Hong Kong Handicap "A" Class, and this was follow- ed by Mr. Needa riding Iron Gray to victory in the "B Olass ovent for subs.

In the Hong Kong Handicap "B" Olass, the hot favourite Brechin, giving trouble at the start, lost many valuable lengths, and could only finish fourth. Blue Star won the race to pay the com- paratively handsome dividend of $28,40.
