Struggle For Semi-Final

Positions

PROGRAMME FOR WEEK

(BY SALADIN.)

The concluding stages of the Open Singles Championship of the Colony have now been reached, and provid-p ing the rain, which is threatening at the time of writing, does not interfere with the schedule, three of the four semi-final positions will have been filled by the end of the week. Tam Yoe Fung and Tsui Whi Pui, the leading aspirants among the newcomers, are making a strong bid for places, and as they are opposed to players who have won championship previously, some interesting competition is expected. In all probability the struggle for semi-final positions in the Open Doubles will take place next week.
