We regret to have to record the deaths of four of our Members dur ing the year-Captains R., G. Groundwater and G.KS. Hudson and. Mesars, S. Ashworth and S. Petroff, and their Hassing is a dis- tinct loss to the Club. I ask you to stand for a few moments, Gentle men, as a mark of respect to these departed Members.

I now have much pleasure in proposing the adoption of the re- port and accounts, and if some mem- her will kindly second my proposal, 1 shall be pleased to answer any questions to the best of my ability. The Bar.

The bar shows a profit of 87,101, which is approximately $2,000, in excess of last year's Agure. This can be attributed mainly to the bet ter exchange conditions-the selling prices having been based when the rate was low-and to the very efì- cient manner in which the bar has

been run.

The increase shawn against inter est for debentures is, of course, dus to the issue of an additional $8,000. worth of debentures.

The tennis section has been very enthusiastic during the year, and has played quite a number of friendly games with other teams.

NEW PRESIDENT

The Chairman, Mr. Hogbin, in rising to nominate Mr. F. L. Hapley aa. President of the Club remarked that Mr. Rapley was one of the oldest members of the Club and had served as Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer and also as Vice-President during the past year. He now de- served the highest position which the Club could offer.
