"JOAN" WINS MENAGERIE RACE.

There was very little wind on Saturday, and Joan, piloted by Mr. F. Cope, beat the larger bouts on handicap, and won the Menaggrie Hace over a course of 8.7 miles. Boojum (Capt. Dunlop) was second and Dorothea (Mr. Parry-Winfield) occupied third place.

The race was characterised at the start by light and variable winds and a strong ebb tide. It is some years now since a. Gael boat's handicap has allowed her to win a menagerie race.
