SHANGHAI SOCCER TEAM BEATEN

COMBINED CHINESE WIN BY 5-2

WINNERS BRILLIANT TEAM WORK

The Combined Chinese soccer eleven avenged the defeat of the Hong Kong Interport team by defeating Shanghai by five goals to two on the Club ground on Saturday. The Chinese were much better than the Hong Kong Interport team both in their delencë and attack, and their teamwork time and again non-plussed dash and his defenders. Shanghai made only one change from their win. ning team, Hay taking the place of Remedios at right half. The team, with the exception of Keats, did not play at the stadjard which won them the Interport, the forwards, especially Collett and Jack, seemed to take the game light-heartedly.

The Chinese had three dangerous forwards in Fung King Cheong, Tam Kong Pak and Ip Pak Wa, although the latter was injured early in the game. Their perfect understanding and good passes enabled them to have the ball frequently unmarked, and three of the five goals which they soored between them were shot with esse,

The defence also played quite well particularly, Lam Yuk Ying who completely over shadowed Collett and Jack. Lau Mau, who gave such a poor display on Thursday, showed better understanding with Li Tin Bang in the back line than with Allan,
