After tiffin Manila put forth their best efforts despite feeling the cold wind more than our players, they had the upper hand, and had Hong Kong not gained the ground they had in the morning, the results may have been somewhat different, j In the first match the golfin

the morning was decidedly divere and not at all what we ex- pect of Budd, undoubtedly the. wen- ther affected both players, there were frequent tales of missed putts, and some of them very short onea However after tiffin Manila forged but Budd put up some good golf ahead and were 4 up at the turn ut this juncture and stood 2 down with to play, after winning the 15th, and rather foolishly losing the 10th in a 6 to 7, he won the 17th with a 2, and lost the match on the last green.
