Col. C. D. Myles presided at the third Annual Meeting of St. Patrick's Society of Hong Kong which took place yesterday at the Hong Kong Hotel. Among those present were Sir Joseph Kemp, Prof. B. A. Redmond, Mr. M. G. O'Connor, Capt. P. T. Mahonym, Mr. E, H. Williains. Mr. R. H D. Wade, Mr. F. P. R. James, Mr. J. Hosford and B. H. C. Hallowes

After the Annual Report and Statement of Account had been adopted, the meeting approved of two minor alterations to the rules,

In regard to the celebration of St. Patrick's day, the meeting were unanimous that a ball should be held, The Chairman appealed to members to book their tickets na soon as possible, pointing out that their co-operation in this matter-10.48 would be of great assistance to the committee, who could arrange much 10.58 better terms with the hotel if they were in position to state the 10.50. number who would be attending?

At the conclusion of the meeting Sir Joseph Kemp proposed & vote of thanks to two members of the Committen whom the Society were losing. He referred to Colonel 17.08 Myles and to Capt. Mahony, Col. files had done some very hard 11.12 work, mot only in his own year as President, but also, when the preai dent was absent the previous year, Capt: Mahoney has been the Secre11.20 tary of the Society since its incep tion and a great deal of its sme 11.24' ceas was due to his hard work and energy.

Both Colonel Myles and Capt. Mahoney thanked Sir Joseph Kemp for his kind remarks and Colonel Myles referred in his speech to the Aupport given to the Society by Sir Joseph Kemp, who was willing enough to accept the Presidency
